About NEET (UG) and role of NTA
NEET (UG) is the common national entrance test for undergraduate medical education in India (MBBS, BDS and other notified courses). NTA conducts the exam — application, admit card, answer key and result — while counselling and seat allotment are handled by MCC/DGHS, state authorities and other admission bodies.

NEET (UG) examination scheme
NEET is generally conducted in pen-and-paper (OMR) mode on Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Always follow the latest bulletin for exact structure, marking, languages and exam-day rules.

Eligibility and qualification
Includes academic qualification, subject combinations, age/attempt conditions (if any), nationality/category rules and course-specific rules. NRI/OCI/foreign candidates should read the specific provisions.

Counselling, reservation & admission routes
NEET score is used by different counselling authorities. Know whether you're applying via All India Quota, state quota, deemed/central institutions or AYUSH counselling.

- Check schedule, registration, choice filling, allotment and reporting.
- Non-AIQ seats handled by State/UT authorities.

JEE Main is primarily a Computer Based Test. Check the official bulletin for session dates, paper choice, medium, marking and pattern.

- Admission depends on rank, category, state rules, choices and seats.
